Hey Growers,
We had a blast putting THIS together over the last 5 months, hope you enjoy it and get a giggle or two.
Open to feedback too, what do you want to see in our next one?
Cheers,
Stephen
Yup two reasons once in flower you want to devote as much energy to the buds and two it opens up light penetration to the entire plant reducing larf and popcorn buds. Finding the sweet spot entering flowering is key.
There are some strict rules that should be followed. Autos are not as forgiving since you don’t know when the flowering is going to take place so I don’t recomend it for your plant.
Hey Jamminbear,
Currently all autos are getting 18 hours of light, consistently throughout the grow.
Best,
Stephen
Hi Bongsmoker89,
Traditionally growers don’t high stress train autos (Topping, microtopping) because of the time it takes to recover. (1-2 weeks) With autos, they will enter the flower period quickly, usually not offering enough recovery time to make your efforts pay off in the end. That being said, it’s your grow, you can do with it what you like!
Best,
Stephen
Autos do have an ‘internal clock’ that triggers them to flower. Most basically start flowering after 2-4 weeks of growth. That being said, with all of the genetic mixing of Ruderallis with sativa/indica, you will see some reacting differently than others. There are many different types of Auto Northern Lights genetics out there from several different breeders. I will sometimes see a difference of several days when pulling ripe flowers down from the same strain too. So to distil my ramblings…

There are many types of advanced gardening techniques that can be utilized like topping, fimming, super cropping, low stress training and S.C.R.O.G. that the grower can use.
Pruning your cannabis or tomato plant will result in a higher yield and less pests than letting them grow wild on their own. Helping to control where your plant is exposed to light and allowing for adequate airflow under your canopy are key aspects to maximizing your yield. Knowing when, where and how to prune your plant …

@Bongsmoker89 ,
When removing leaves, I like to limit myself to no more than 20% of the existing foliage. This is some extreme removal in my opinion. A couple points to be aware of when defoliating in flower:
A plant needs leaves. Leaves not only act as solar panels, absorbing and transforming the solar energy to proceed with photosynthesis, and their internal processes, it also take the function of storing energy to use it later, when the plant requires it. So, when we remove part of the le…

Hey @Chris_Olszewski ,
Congrats on your progress so far my friend! We all started somewhere and in my experience (before we made the Grobo at least) even finishing your 1st grow is something most first time growers struggle with.
For now:
See if you can pop your cocopod through the lid and into the reservoir. This will gain you a bit of clearance at the top of the canopy.
As our champions have suggested, use support racks to keep the colas off to the side of the top.
As you have already don…
