What happens when the top of the plant reaches the top of the box?

You need to super crop for sure

Pick a spot to bend and soften the stem so that when you bend to 90 degrees it doesn’t snap. Looks like you may need to do a lot. Where are you in your current stage?

Good work cleaning up your plant though!

I had a similar problem. I super cropped her. Her legs are bend now which gave me 3 inches of space but now shes grown again. I’m about to push the cocopod through.

Try to do as much research and watch as much videos on super cropping and before attempting to make sure you do not damage your plant irreversibly, I learned that squeezing the branch where I want to Super crop between my fingers and then bending was the best technique I learned that from fellow Growers here and through my own research

I’m on day 22 and my plant is very healthy. The roots are over taking the entire coca pod to the point you can hardly see it.

Should I cut some of the big fan leaves so the branches are exposed to light? Currently they are mostly covered. Half the branches have 3 nodes already.

No I would train them out it’s too early your branch leaves aren’t big yet

Thanks for the help. Surprisingly I had seen all of the links and videos you shared @SilverGrobo . Thanks for taking the time to gather them all and share. I’m sure others will find this post and feast on your links. I just couldn’t get a clear understanding if I should start stripping the fan leaves that block the light from the branches in “Early Veg” or “Late Veg” when speaking Grobo growth cycles. All of the resources seems to only talk about it after buds are appearing, right before flowering. I didn’t want to assume it was too early and stunt any branch growth.

Thanks for the super clear answer @chris_barfield . I’ll leave her be for now and just try to push the big fan leaves down and prop up the branches on top of them.

If u have the drying hangers from grobo. They work very well to keep fan leaves in optimal position :call_me_hand:

Those things are a grip, especially when you need like 3-4 packs to be effective at $20 a pop for basically string and magnets. I’m going to try some of the DIY solutions I’ve seen on the forums.

Grobo if you’re listening, lower those prices so I can support you! I’d rather buy from Grobo direct than from Amazon.

Understandable :call_me_hand: I did only get one set due to price and have found other methods. It is just fishing line and magnetic hooks basically.

Hi, this is my first grow. Im on week 5 and I bought a nice set of clippers. Does it matter where on the branch to make a clean cut when prunning?

Are you talking about for a topping? Or just branch pruning in general?

With branch pruning (or cuttings for clones) I think it’s best to cut as close to the stalk as possible without damaging anything you want to keep, like buds forming. Basically chop the whole limb off!

With topping, it’s generally recommended to leave a little “knub” to add support for the branches (it will eventually get hard and strong so the branches can’t easily be split by training etc)… as opposed to cutting completely down to the split

Hi, yes actually pruning. Topping seems easier lol. Im actually unsure which branches or what to prune and where.

If you’re unsure about pruning branches, leave it alone for now. You’ll have time to prune branches later on in the grow, she needs everything now

We can definitely help you out when the time comes!

Thank you!!!
