New Grow (GR?)

Are you just plopping your seed in the coco pod, or are you germinating outside the pod first? If dropping directly into coco pod, I’d instead plop the seed/s in water in a cup for ~24 hours, then wet a paper towel take seeds from cup place on moist paper towel fold, slip in ziplock bag. Seal the bag about 3/4 of the way and lay it on a windowsill that gets light. You’ll see tap roots in 12-24 hrs. :100:% germ rate for me using this method. I use it for both hydro and soil grows :+1::v:

I germinated a random seed in a ziplock bag by the window. It was planted, and has popped out! She hasn’t shucked her seed yet, but finally, It’s alive!

You may have to give her a little help taking the seed.off, sometimes they get stuck. Wet the seed and gently use tweezers to pull apart or its likely to die if left on too long.

First try spraying with water. It’ll moisten the seed cap and help the sprout shed it. If it doesn’t come off by tomorrow then I’d do what @Bplatinum9 suggested :+1::v:

Done! I got it off with some tweezers…

I just topped after the 4th node. Snipped that big main leaf on the top, in the back. Damnit.
Will that cause any issues?

Hey @JBizzle,

You should be just fine, this plant looks super healthy and will bush out in the coming week(s) for you. Don’t forget to adjust your schedule to allow her to recover from the stress. Shift schedule and add a week to your current stage.

Cheers,
Stephen

Done. Thanks @Stephen
You can clearly see what I cut. :man_facepalming:t2: I should’ve just pinched it off, like I ended up doing.
She does still look healthy! Short & Stout

Hindsight, I probably could’ve taped the limb together and it would’ve healed.
Y’all think it will affect my yield?

Nope, you will be just fine.

Started another seed on the weekend after the last 2 didnt pop. This one is looking weird but only day 4 so maybe not quite popped yet.

Right on. I sure hope my remaining Trainwreck seeds pop!
What strain is that?
Are you going to give it a day or so, then wet and remove it with tweezers?

It was still damp this morning so likely will leave it. Anything that pops before 5 days always makes me happy.
It’s a sativa called headband.
