Veg Garden 2021

It’s been a rainy summer for us here. Fabric next time for sure.

My next grow not changing to much.

Planning on rebuilding my drain system to support larger pots.

New things on the list

10 gallon pot inside (maybe bigger)
Going to make my own tea starting next grow
Adding nematodes right off the start
Replacing my drip system with Halo drip rings

That’s about it for now. My goal is more infused teas vs top dressing

@Todd.grobo To give an example what what I mean about infused teas is. Plan on stop using Cal/mag and replace with

Egg shells and rice vinegar in a jar and use it 1:1000 when it stops bubbling. Water soluble calcium.

Oyster shells are great also but it takes to long to break down in soil. So I’m focusing my energy into infused tea’s to aid in breaking down compost matter

Stuff like this is what I’m doing next grow. This is how I’m going to get to the next level. At least this is what I believe

@Todd.grobo Well here is Auto plant that didn’t end up being a auto. After 42 days of no one looking at it or watering it.

It’s a bit over done but it is what it is

Have to love Mother nature

Nice looking haul there. Cant believe your still harvesting. My water barrels are drained and put away, garden is covered for winter and only a handful of raspberries in the last week or two. Haha

do you ever trim that asparagus when it seeds like that?

Ideally, asparagus should be cut back in the fall but it is important that you wait until all of the foliage has died back and turned brown or yellow. This will normally happen after the first frost.

I find having my garden gives me peace and serenity it started out small and it keeps getting bigger so Start with something small that you can handle and enjoy so it’s doesn’t feel like work. :+1:

You can do it, just don’t get a lot of dogs. I can’t grow anything outback even putting up little fences and trying to block off things. They still get in and dig it up, I stopped even trying outback. :grinning: I would like to grow tomatoes, cucumbers all spreading out and other things, just not going to happen.
