“is it okay” usually is answered with:
Are the leaves green?
Does it smell normal?
Is there new growth?
Are the leaves not curled, bent, or looking stressed?

But my plant is on day 5 of 14 for late veg i feel as if the plant should be way bushier and taller at this point.

Show us a pic of the overall plant.

Really, it depends on environmentals a little and genetics a lot. Just keep it in veg until it hits the second fan, then flip to flower.
