Hey @Ray2nasty,

Welcome to AG and thanks for becoming a Grobo customer.

  1. Can you germinate outside the Grobo?
    Yes, but we recommend that you start by doing it inside the Grobo and using our coco pods.

  2. How long do nutrients last?
    They will last you for at least one grow. Depending on the strain you plant and type of water you use, they’ll be consumed in different amounts.

  3. How long does it take to ship?
    Right now it’s about 3-4 weeks for shipping!

Happy growing,
Bjorn

Thank you very much I’ve been looking forward to this for awhile now , another thing I’ve always wonder is how long do these machines actually last and is thier any serious maintenance needed for the long run ?

Hey @Ray2nasty,

The lifetime testing continues as we reach year two of our product’s life. I’ve been running a test lab with 10+ units for years and the only issue I’ve run into so far is the need to replace the pH probe after a year. Recommended to clean & calibrate your pH probe after each grow to maintain it’s health.

We do offer extended warranties up to 4 years too.

Cheers,
Stephen

How do you clean and calibrate the ph probe ?

Hey @Ray2nasty,

You simply follow the instructions in the app for the Health Check. It will help you clean and check to see if calibration is needed.

Stephen

I purchased it early this morning and the money went through , you said 3 to four weeks ?

Yup it should take about that time. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships.

Why so long ?

The company is in its first two years of business and I had to laugh when you asked “why so long” not because its not a good question but many of us waited years or months for our units due to business related to startup and Someone always asks that question! I think I spent a couple months reading every post on this website and asking questions, not to mention researching products and tools I would need. I used the time wisely and have a successful first grow because of it. It prepared me for all types of issues with my unit to my plant and gadgets, just watch the time go by quicker but it won’t do much for your excitement! Best of luck to you!

Just ask the forum and you shall receive! Read as much as you can and remember there are no dumb questions!
You may or may not need a dehumidifier but when humidity rises you’ll wish you had. You Can use:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JV27MFY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use this one, plug and empty water when full.

Hydroguard is used to fix and prevent root rot when humidity is getting the best of your roots inside the reservoir tank.
You mix it according to instructions with your ph’d RO or distilled water for drain and (fill) day.
Water Temp:
65 - 70 f normal
18 - 22 c normal
72 - up root rot
I stuck the clonex on the list incase your unfortunate enough to lose your root system, it happens.

If you get a water chiller your nutrients cycle through it as well, not sure if it throws the dosing off but you can ask some allgrowers with chillers.

Grobo Temp:
veg stage = 70 - 80f / 20 - 20c
Flower stage = 65 - 80f / 18 - 26c

Water PH:
6.0 - 6.5ph
1.2 - 2.0ec

Humidity:
Clones = 70 - 80%
Vegetative = 40 - 60%
Flowering = 40 - 50%

Water Temp:
65 - 70f
18 - 22c
72 up root rot
