My True Blue Dream

I have enjoyed and am intrigued by reading your posts and responses. You seem so interested and helpful. I wonder if I can have a successful grow without extra equipment ex. Hydroguard or other testers, fans, etc. Or should I just take cues from my plant and be reactive? I am certainly not opposed to doing whatever I can for success, I am recently retired and cost is a concern. :sunglasses:Appreciate your input!
Happy growing everyone! :four_leaf_clover:

Morning Jewel, I am sure that you can make it happen with a just a few extra items. If I were to put together a list that I feel are must haves it would be the following:

Reliable air pump, I would hook this up from the start to avoid risk of plant harm/death due to grobo pump failure:

Magnetic hooks to hold top fan and use for plant training:

Hydroguard is a must in my opinion, better safe than sorry.

Use the following two items to dispense Hydroguard directly into the reservoir with each weekly water change AFTER the grobo dispenses bottles 3, 4, and 5.

You will need this kit to clean and calibrate the grobo pH pen. It is important that you always have fresh calibration solution on hand.

Top fan, use hooks to hang:

Bottom fan, sits on floor of grow space:

USB extensions, to run through the rear door at the bottom of grobo to power fans:

You may not need to buy these right away but you will want a good set of pH/EC probes at some point. This particular set is cost effective and will last you for years.

Thank you! This eases my mind tremendously and I would much rather be prepared than not. Much appreciated @SWSVIC

If your strapped due to covid19 id say the only required item is the pump. Some of those items can be pricey in canada

Eek! This is my lady 24 hrs after 2nd drain/fill. A few spots and dark colored roots at the bottom. New leaves look great coming in. Thoughts and/or suggestions?

looks like nutrient 4 or 5 were dispensing too close to the roots. Sometimes you have to sorta readjust it as it causes that stain. Keep an eye on the leaves but should be ok.

Will do. Thanks @Todd.grobo for checking in

Hey Everyone! :wave:t4: We are getting a little action over here.
I removed 2 dried damaged leaves from the bottom a couple days ago and I think she approves. She’s looking very bushy underneath but the leaves are a little droopy and seem dry. The pod is still damp and the roots are rooting? But not so white anymore.

I just finished drain/fill and added Hydroguard for the first time. There’s a mildewy odor underneath and some brown gunk (algae?) on some of the connectors, which I did my best to clean off.
Waiting on my Amazon delivery so I can accessorize with fans, temp humidity gauge and water thermometer.

I am so loving this growing process and learning from all of you! Any comments are of course appreciated.

Those roots don’t look very bad, unless that’s after cleaning them up?

I think the temp guages will help, if you smell something in the reservoir the water is probably getting warmer than you’d like it to sometimes. The hydroguard should help with that too, keep us posted!

She blew her top! Day 6 late veg. I topped her today. How does she look? Lots of leaves and branches. Looking very bushy. The roots look awesome. I plan to implement LST in the next week or two.
Should I remove any of the leaves, stems from the underside or wait another week? Do I add another week to Late Veg?
Looking forward to your comments/suggestions.
