Guess I am no longer taking a grow break. I popped some seeds as soon as I found out I got time for one more!
Wow took a out 8 hours to finish the trim job solo with my bowl trimmer. Too bad my scale ran out of battery. Hopefully new one arrives before I sample too much during curing lol . My guess is 1.5p or more
These Blue Dream buds will be pressed into rosin.
And the trim, full of bits of bud. Gonna make good gummies out of this.
Nice, that’s a lot of weed! Enjoy! Let us know which strain is your favorite
For sure its Hutchcroft, I am a big Do Si Dos fan and the gas from the UnderDawg_D is amazing. I cant wait for the cure to be done.
First off Vic nice haul. Finished product looks great!! After your curing process is over have you ever considered oxygen absorber packs to add to your jars? I have tried 2 trials 2 different grows and I swear there is a difference.
Thanks @Mpower11 . No i haven’t considered O2 absorbers yet as I was planning on packing them in 1oz food saver bags after curing is done but I’ll definitely try them out, anything to keep the quality standards high. Do you have a link of the ones you use?
Looks amazing… well done!
One other thing I have noticed when the buds get older they normally start to turn more brown and lose their colour when adding the oxygen absorb packs in the colour didn’t change all that much it preserve them.
I have no data or links to support this this is just based off my two trials Google around about it there is literature out there
I used these. Let me know your thoughts
Dry-Packs 100-1 Gallon Mylar Bags and Oxygen Absorbers for Dried Food and Long Term Storage https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00967K7PQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_CY03E7W4C5NBD3ADXZ3R
Honestly I think it’s a really good idea I didn’t try to deal shop them so Im sure there’s better deals on them out there. But honestly try a couple vacuum seal bags with them in there and compare. The little bit of air that the vacuum seal can’t suck out the oxygen absorber will take care of the balance for you. Mind you don’t have to try the whole run. that’s what I did at least tried in the couple Jars I think are a lot better after age. My next run I’m doing 75% with 25% without
Testing and experimenting are my specialty, I’ll definitely make different batch samples and compare.
Jesus lord u literally got that in ur whole hand congrats on ur beautiful harvest man that looks amazing
Made some gummies. First batch had too little gelatin so I melted them and added more agar. They turned out tasting great. This one is sour apple flavor.
Extra Strength Canna Coconut Oil
2 oz bud
32 oz coconut oil
Fuse decarb bud into coconut oil, I used a sous vide method but any method works
Gummy ingredients
- 9oz Green Apple Jolly Rancher Jello powder
- 6oz of unflavored gelatin or agar (i used 3oz gelatin 3oz agar)
- 2-4 tbs kool-aid sour green apple (depending on how much how sweet and tart you like your candy).
- 1 cup of water
- 3 tsp lethescin
- 2-4 drops of Lor Ann’s concentrate fruit drop apple
- kool-aid powder to coat gummies
- cornstarch
Steps
- Bloom the gelatin and agar in cold water
- Simmer water and kool-aid and Lor Ann’s flavor dops
- Add unflavored gelatin to Simmer mix
- Add the flavored jello powder, set heat to medium low and mix well
- Add canna oil and lethecin and increase heat to medium high and continue to mix until boil. Remove from heat
- Fill molds and freeze for 20 minutes
- Remove from mold and toss in kool-aid powder
- Let the Gummy dry in a shallow dish with sifted cornstarch and set in the fridge for about 6-12 hours or until desired toughness is reached.
