First Ever Grow: Afghani #1

Hello all,
Newbie here and started a new grow, I been trying to read as much as I can and have fun with it. The forums from what I can see people are extremely helpful and knowledgable… Thanks as I have got a lot of good information already…

Aaaaaanyway: I have a grobo Premium, Growing first Afghani#1 and I am 7 Days in. It sprouted and its looking good from my untrained eye…

Its Alive!

Congrats on new life!

She looks pretty small still, if it was me, I would extend germination for another week to reduce nutrient deficiencies so early in the growth stage.

I will take your advice thank you… I assume grab at the end of the germination stage it will ask to extend or proceed?

You can do that, or you can extend now. I would wait for at least 3 sets of fully developed leaves (6 fully developed leaves total) before starting veg.

You can skip and extend and rollback on your schedule anytime, shouldn’t be an issue, I do it all the time.

Also keeping the RH up around 60%-70% would really help make her thrive, you can achieve that by using a dome or even a sandwich bag really. Only use for the first few days of life. Seems to be awfully dry during the Winter. A humidifier in the same room as the grobo would do also do the trick

I think you’re spot on as here is my water temp and Humidity in the cabinet.

Water temp is perfect for veg and flower however it can be a bit warmer during germination for the seedling. However it’s not a big deal, she’ll be fine with 65f water.

Ok, But the humidity is very low, I will dome it with something as you stated… I appreciate the help.

Welcome aboard!!!
Germination is not extended unless your seed had an issue or was stressed out, ten days is plenty of time!
Your plant is not small for its strain type (indica).
Also you dont want to dome your plant after four leaves it can cause mold issues and is only used to pop the seed!
Your plant will continue to grow on the smaller side of things because Its a full indica, where if it had been a hybrid mixed with sativa it would be bigger!
So far everything looks as It should! :eyes::seedling:

So here is what she looks like today. Any ones trained eyes see anything out of the normal? She looks healthy to me anyway.

She looks good. I noticed a slight brown on the tip of the leaf but it’s not an issue. Now the waiting game :clock2::clock10::clock11::clock7::clock9:

Updated photos, there is still that droopy leaf underneath. Should I remove it?

Go for it! :eyes::seedling:

To small to top? or move on to the next stage? She seems real small still to me, not even half way to the first fan… I think she will be a bushy short one as there is a lot going on in under those leaves but she isn’t stretching…
