How soon is the cocoa pod is supposed to dry?
It shouldn’t ‘dry’ per se. Are you having germination issues?
It should always be moist/damp… not too soaked at the top. Every other day I put a few drops of water on the coco pod.
Ok good… I thought i read somewhere that it’s supposed to be dry at the top
You just don’t want it to be soaking towards the top or you can get dampening off
Not dry, but not soaked… damp and moist.
(The top would feel a little damp and the bottom might feel a little soaked for the Bubbler water splatters up to the coco-pod to help keep it moist):
During germination it is important to keep your Coco Pod moist, to ensure your seed will pop. You may notice there are several different water levels the Grobo can utilize. During the first 10 days we are filling to the high water level.
One of the things you may notice is that both of your round intake fans in the back are off. This will change this week. You will notice that the bottom fan will start on day 10 and both will be running by day 24. In order for a seedling to thrive, it needs a consistent and stable environment. This includes a consistent temperature, humidity and airflow.
