I ordered the new Grobo 2 and it needs assembly. That made me think, maybe take more time when assembling it and make sure it is put together very solid, no light leaks at all, no smell leaking out cracks and all that. Before I put in where I want, I want to make sure it is 100% solid, no leaks no noise and atleast to the best I can do it.
Here are some of my ideas, they might be good or bad, I am still debating.
I am thinking of adding this 1" x 5/16" thick foam strip to every point where metal meets metal and also for the top and bottom when assembling. So along all the seams and top and bottom.
I am also thinking of using this sound shield and reflective coating on the entire inside of the Grobo 2.
I am also going to put these vibration proof type feet on the bottom to help deaden any kind of vibration or sound from the unit.
I also plan to tape up and seal every point it comes together from the inside with this Gaffers tape to help with light leaks and things like that.
