Is it too early to say it’s alive?!

I noticed having the fan on keeps the temperature inside 2-3 degrees cooler so I’ve been running the fan.

It’s most certainly alive, congrats!

Germination (Day 8 /10)

Did my first Drain/Fill today and replaced my fan with a smaller one.
Set up a sticky trap because I found a bug inside the Grobo.
Added 5ML of Hydroguard

She grew a root! :+1:

Happy 4th of July!

Day 13 Early Vegetation (Day 3 /14)

Found a little bug walking on the sticky trap today. Hope this isn’t going to be a problem lol

She’s still a tiny plant but she has a lot more roots and they look healthy.

Temperatures have mostly been in the range from 71-82 degrees F
Humidity around 32%-52%
Water temps around 68-74 degrees F (trying to keep it below 72)

I have caught 2 stragglers with my sticky traps so far, they created no issues. Still find it incredible that they find their way in there, even with significant preventive measures in place. Believe they hitch a ride in on my dogs, and work their way through the house until they find the good stuff in the Grobo. I check on a daily basis to ensure there is no sort of infestation.

Hello! Received a notification that says the plant’s roots should be submerged.
I can’t tell if my roots are submerged but the roots looks moist and the coco pod is moist. What do you guys think? Thanks!

You’re in good shape :+1:

See droplets :droplet: coming from the pod so it’s drinking

Hi guys, I’m noticing brown spots on my leaves.

  1. Temps inside the machine has been around 71-80 degrees F
  2. Humidity around 32%-52%
  3. Water temps around 68-70 degrees F
  4. Using distilled water

Should I calibrate my probes and send an email to Grobo support?

Could be nutrient burn, could be pH issue. Do you have a handheld pH meter? Can you post a picture of your nutrient bottles showing what has been used?

Bottles # 1-4 has been used (bottle #2 being used the most)

I have this

It’s used quite a bit of your pH bottles for being so early in a grow while running distilled. Can you check you pH and let us know what it reads?

Also it has used no cal/mag (bottle 5) which it definitely should be when running distilled water. Your plant needs the water to be conditioned in order to uptake nutrients. Where are you sourcing your distilled water?

I get my Acadia distilled water from Stop & Shop

This is my first time using a ph pen. It says “before use: add pH probe KCI Storage Solution to cover the probe tip in a cup and leave it soaked for 24 hours”

Should I follow steps 1-3 to hydrate and calibrate?

Yes you must follow those steps :+1:. I would submit a ticket as well, there’s a few things going on there that appear off.
