Thanks! I am going to let her be for few days and see what happens
Good call, I believe I am experiencing a very slight case of nutrient burn after introducing Big Bud at 1/4 strength. Will post pics on my thread shortly. Will most likely cut it to 1/8 or discontinue its use completely at next water change (which may be done early if I notice the burn gettin worse).
What is #5 , sorry I don’t use the Grobo nutrients? Is that the Cal-Mag? And how many of those bottles did u go through already
Yes 5 is Cal-Mag.
Same here
Nope, but this is coming from a person who walks into a dispensary every time his script re-ups and says “give me everything”…
Damn!! What u got there bro!
Haha got another one like it (the archives) upstairs.
@Jamminbear I will prob look into it some but not a whole lot as to I know this is a hobby and has many consumable aspects to it. I’m just hoping the smoke is much better quality than anything I can get elsewhere
Is that the briefcase from pulp fiction?
Is that fan a plug in fan?
She’s looking real good
Day 83 22/44 Flower. Topped off her water last night, also ran the cord to the fan to keep it going always. She’s greener than ever, soaking up all that light, looks like buds are growing! The stretch seems to have slowed down at this point. Love what I’m seeing!, I really have been enjoying my first grow experience and Grobo in general. @SWSVIC @Russel_Richardson @Bplatinum9 @VermontGrobo @Jamminbear Thank you for helping me with this grow shout out to you guys!
She looks super happy and your buds look great! I noticed that there is some burning on your leaf tips, the same is happening to mine. Yours is a little more intense however you are ahead of me so I imagine that mine will probably match when I get a little further into flowering. @chris_barfield @vegetato is this something that regularly occurs in early flowering? Hoping you guys can give us some input on why it happens and if/how we can avoid and possibly fix it.
It’s a sign that the nutes are a bit strong, tone them down a touch if possible or dilute the water a bit (top it up) more frequently to accomplish similar. In the grobo (and hydro in general) I think it happens mainly when they start drinking more and the res loses fluid from that – what’s left in the water becomes more concentrated.
If it doesn’t start to take over leaves like you see in my 7th grow then it was likely just some temporary shock from stronger/more nutes. If it does continue then the nutes are definitely too strong and are likely going to cause a lockout/need to be reduced drastically to fix.
In this case it looks like “normal” burn, though that can go away or get better with practice.
Understood, thank you very much for your quick answer. As you know I am running quite a few additives, @Letsgrowmore is using only Grobo nutes with Hydroguard. I find it interesting that we are both experiencing “the burn” and it leads me to believe that our Grobo recipes are running a little “hot”. I have been topping off every other day (3 times in between drain fills) where she takes a little less than a half gallon each time. I am going to switch to topping off every day to see if it keeps the burn in check. @Letsgrowmore, how many times per week are you currently topping off your reservoir?
Besides running hot - It also burning through the nutrients unnecessarily. This is where it would be nice if the user had input on their EC levels since support can’t not actually see the plant.
Grobo = Printer, Nutrients = Ink
