Don’t know. Just got my grobo last week
Happy Growing!
I’m not going to @ but I ordered extra nutrient kit when ordering grobo. I got my grobo(no extra kit, could have been thrown into grobo when shipped) and told Stephen about not getting it. Got it within 5 days us. Also I’m looking great on my bottles so far, I adjust ph little before adding ro water to grobo and might start adding nuts. @Bplatinum9
Just got a notification that the extra order of nuts I ordered is being shipped out. I will post the # of days it takes just incase any newbies like myself are wondering. Looks like @LtcTerps is right on the money, are you adding something to your RO water to adjust nuts? Not sure I understand how to adjust PH.
@Bplatinum9 I only adjust ph level to my ro water before going into grobo, I don’t add nuts to ro water. The grobo will do nutrients automatically but I’m just adjusting ph for now so I won’t use bottle 1&2 as much. Thinking about adding nutrients to grobo manually but i want to get couple grows in before I start testing this. I’m feeding plants out of grobo canna a&b, rhizotonic, and mammoth p at 75% recommended dosage.
I use my own nutrients in the grobo and works fjne
If you look through old post most of us have already tried most of the things you guys have questions about … I logged my soil to grobo transfer and also most of us have run clones and manual dosing …
Can u go more in depth with this? I’d definitely like to know just in case I run out of grobo nuts and have to manage something else. What nutrients? Dilution rate? Feeding schedule?
Hey @LtcTerps,
Be careful adding your own nutes or supplementing. I’ve seen a couple growers blast their EC way too high doing this. Use at your own risk kinda thang…
Good luck!
Stephen
I’m sticking with the Grobo nuts but I still want to know how does everyone correct PH?
At this point in time only grobo support can adjust ph and ec. Unless there has been a development I’m unaware of. Typically we will ph our ro water before we fill the unit:+1:
I was mistaken it was that you can calibrate the sensor at the beginning of the grow.
The grobo will adjust ph, some ppl like to get ph at a good level before filling grobo. @Bplatinum9 Ph up and down can be bought on amazon, I got small bottles since it’s concentrated. Also need to get a ph and ec tester to see where ur at.
@Stephen I will be careful IF the time comes, just thought for future or in dire need.
Just learning for now! Thanks in advance everyone!
Looks like the Flora series from General Hydroponics would work with grobo? Its a 5 part. Just wish they would sell 1L bottles of the grobo nutrients instead of ordering bottles each grow. I ordered an extra set just to have.
Can anyone confirm Flora Series from GH?
Be careful using nutrients they have to be manually added to the water so they don’t harm the sensors and equipment built specific for the use of grobo nuts. Others could clog or break the system. There has been talk of manufacturing larger portions for refill.
Don’t worry about the nutes won’t harm the grobo in any way… the only issue you might have is if you try and use another company’s nutrients in the bottles instead of manually dosing cuz the ratios are different … but it won’t harm the instruments used … me and @osage have been doing this from about day one no issues … I’ve even transplanted from soil into the grobo with no issues no clogs no nothing… I think grobo team has to say Incase you mess up and it leaves the responsibility on you… the blue lab sensors they use are the same other companies use with their nutes … they don’t have specific meters made by blue lab just for the grobo… you can actually go on blue lab and order the exact same sensor and replace yourself … @OneBadGrow
