So, since I’ve had a lot of set backs with this grow, there are buds that are ready to harvest but others still growing. Afraid that ones that are ready are gonna end up not so good???

Cut off the top ones and leave the bottom for another week

I second that @Todd.grobo, you dont have to wait for the whole plant to be ready you can pick and choose which branches to remove and start drying in a cool space.
Have you looked at the trichomes under a microscope?

Also for your benefit, try not to expose a plant in flowering stage to lights or flashes. Not good for the plant.

The plant doesn’t die. An orange tree doesnt die because you took some oranges by breaking off a small branch
