Day 22 early veg 12/14. should plant be larger ?

Looks healthy! If its indica heavy it will grow short/bushy.
You can extend in late veg as long as you want to get it to a good size. Growing it half the size you wish it to be by the end of late veg is a good way to get the most out of your grow. Be careful if using a sativa strain because they get tall, I would say grow to the bottom of the second fan for those by the end og late veg and you just may end up with enough room.
