I had an idea but I bet there is a reason someone doesn’t do it. “Gunk” often gets in the ph sensor messing with readings. Why wouldn’t the sensor be encased in some sort of screen filter. This would protect it and prevent debris from interfering with the readings wouldn’t it?

I’m not sure if a screen would be a good idea! Once the screen gets gunk on it the readings might not be accurate or functionable! It would be interesting to find out though!

I thought about that but the one on the water hose never gets clogged. It would need to be a similar size to ensure at least some of the holes don’t get clogged. Then if the screen got a little clogged you could just slide it off, clean and reapply.
