Right now I put about 6 paper towels in the unit. 3 on each side and I keep them pretty wet. I usually give a gentle squeeze. You still want them to retain a good amount of water.

Hubby reminded me we do have a humidifier just sitting in the basement!

Did you get an answer about the water being at the high level after your first water change? I am on my first grow and have the same problem. I do have a seedling and roots in the water already.

I believe that changes at a later stage. If you haven’t already, push your pod up a bit to avoid damping off.
