Even though I’m told to fill to high water line, the hose stops filling before reaching that line. Should I Manually add water to reach the high water line?

No. The machine fills to where it should.
If it’s not day 3 or 5 and if it’s not even half full I’d email support@grobo.io but otherwise the grobo fills to where it should
