dry mode just ended. Does anybody suggest that I just repeat the dry mode if you are on a short vacay? Or just leave it alone in the cabinet until I return from a 3 day trip?

Depends how hot your unit and house is.
If your house stays pretty cool then you can leave it.
If your house is hot or muggy I would run dry mode for those three days because no one will be around to open the door for fresh air or check for mold creeping in.
If your buds are too dry make sure you cure them with a Boveda pack to even out the moisture as soon as your home again.
