I read on here that I should have gotten a fill notice to top off my reservoir on Day 3 of germination. I haven’t recieved one - is that because I don’t need one? I’m growing Auto/Fem Jack Herer.

Yes, usually in late veg you may get one a week because your plant will be drinking more, your sensors are working to make sure your notifications are sent off when needed.

Ok, I read here that those notifications are built in to the recipe rather than a real-time response, but hopefully you’re right!

Correct but your sensors also notify.

I just top my off after 4 days just to be safe. If your plants looks droopy just do a fill.
There is no plant (edit: greenery*) 
& I haven’t peeked under the hood to see if there are any roots yet.

Doubtful you’ll need to top up anything on day 3 of germination. I don’t think I ever did. There’s nothing to be drinking up the water, even a little tap root, just check that you coco pod is moist on the very bottom ( under the lid)
