COVID 19 and Marijuana?

i got a question
has anyone or anyone you know gotten the corona virus aka COVID 19 that is a daily marijuana smoker ? all my daily smoking friends including myself have not tested positive or had any symptoms. I was curious to ask other daily smokers and appreciate any response, stay safe !

If you google “Marijuana and COVID” there’s a lot of articles that come up. I don’t think any of them are proven but who knows.

I brought this up on reddit earlier in the pandemic since I read an article back in the early summer/late spring that was suggesting this, but I still don’t think it has been proven.

I’d like to think it’s the case…

But I just found out someone at the medical marijuana facility I work at has COVID, and most of us partake. Don’t know for sure if this said person does or not though to be honest.

Dont know anyone effected as i really havent left my house since march and not currently employed so low risk for me.
Although i did read an article saying most cannabis smokers changed their sharing habits

Ill be honest. We both think we had it in spring. We went to london and paris in august last year and i traveled a lot for work and in spring we were quite sick for like about 2 months. When they start antibody testing we cant even try as they say they stop working between 3 and 6 months

Considering the smart people doing research on COVID-19 can’t seem to figure out what the symptoms are I would take any information about COVID-19 and cannabis use with a huge grain of salt. Pretty sure someone with a Essential Oils University certificate does not know more about COVID-19 than the scientists. But then again, with the shit show that has been going on for the last 11 months, it’s anyones guess.

My family ended up with it last week. We are recovering now and we smoke daily. Interestingly enough though, our only known direct contact was a neighbor(Mike). He was at my house for several hours watching football. I sat next him on the couch. My son kept in his room almost the entire time he was over and never was within 6 feet of him. Mike started feeling sick the next day so he got tested and was positive. My whole family tested a week later and just my 13 yo son was positive (who DOES NOT smoke… hope that goes without saying but there are crazy people out there :man_shrugging::joy:) after taking care of our son for a week or longer, we finally started to develop symptoms. And my wife and I didnt experience too bad of chest heaviness and our symptoms were/are still very mild. So it is possible that it makes you less resistant or possibly make symptoms not as bad?.. its possible. But it definitely isn’t the cure.

For sure. I will add that I only smoke out of dry herb vaporizers. I have the mighty and volcano and thats legit all I use anymore besides edibles. Im not sure how much that actually helps. Anything in the lungs is going to create some sort of tar. But I also keep up with my cardio for that reason too. Lol

The worst taste ive ever experienced is barfing up all that tar in my lungs after about 8 dives at 160 feet. I came up on a dive and my lungs had shrunk so much all the tar came together and i hacked it all up in the ocean. Quite disgusting. We just smoke and eat and only share within our family. Interesting times indeed
Feel better soon

I smoked djarum for like 10 years. That stuff is like black death to smokers. Not a smoker now for 4 or 5 years just cannabis.

Dayum! I had to look up djarum to see what they were. You can’t even buy those in the states unless you get them online. Those things look heavy. Lol. I smoked cigarettes from 17 until 21 but haven’t touched one since… so its been 15 years. I stopped cannabis then too for about 10 of those years. Ive had a cigar here and there but other than that, nothing but cannabis.
