Cheese Auto - New Born!

Right exactly… but she isn’t in flush. She is day 40/52 flower. That’s what I am saying… will she get no nutes?

Sorry @BigPapa1, was supposed to go to @liddellOnus

You asked about flush vs now right?
When you do a drain and fill in flower stage no matter if the notifications run out or not the grobo will still dispence nutrients until you switch to flush stage.

It’s not that, it’s more like the email series has run out if those are the notifications you were using to prompt a drain/fill.

If I’m not mistaken this area of the UI still shows a drain/fill notification each week regardless of whether or not that happens:

Unless they have changed something to change how long the notifications last after a schedule is extended than there will be no more notifications in flower after they have run out.

I like @liddellOnus question about amount of nutes being dispensed. If you extend your grow 28 days In veg but are getting notifications about flower is the grobo dispensing veg level nutes or flower? I assume it sticks to the grow schedule and not the notifications but it’s very confusing

The nutes are despensing according to the water PH., this is how the machine can tell what your plant needs.
The only time it does not ph is in flush stage because nuts arent needed at all.

It’s weird though that the notifications are apparently isolated from the recipe… seems like a software engineering oversight. It’s missleading too as I have read that the water level should be different for different stages… there for you would think notifications about water changing and even topping off should be linked to the recipe. And when you modify a recipe the notifications seem like they should be linked. I would love to get my hands on the API and firmware code… there is certainly some room for improvement.

I’ve switched over to flush a couple of days early and after my drain & fill, I could hear the unit “dispensing nutes” … luckily I had removed the tubes from their bottles beforehand :woman_facepalming:

I’m sure that all those changes are being considered…
Patience for our new company will bring much change!
They are tweaking things, just keep letting them know what we need and allow them the chance to work on it.
We asked for more transparency and the beta program has started to address this.
I think opening their other site and fixing the shipping disasters took a lot and now thet are refocussing on the product.
Hang in there, it gets better!

Shipping has been great for me… supplies come fairly quickly. I think making some of the grobo APIs open source could really be beneficial for the brand. You don’t have to open all of it up I suppose, but it would be great for innovation, and God forbid, anything happens to the company, it would be nice to be able to take over my grobo with out relying on external servers. I imagine a world where I can manage all of my grobos on an internal Network with an open source raspberry pi grobo server… think about it…

Would be nice for sure!
Shipping wasnt always great I think I waited 3-4 months, and they opened a whole new location just so it could be addressed.
I’m sure they will eventually get to all our concerns but keep up the good ideas because you just never know!

So an update… I have extended her flowering cycle to 59 days and have about 5 days left. Her genetics seem very wacked and while I thought she was stretching longer than expected she actually appears to be fox tailing… :frowning: as soon as she starts to fatten up she shoots long spindly fox tails… anyway. Her tricombs are all cloudy, none if any appear amber and about 40% of her hairs are turning red. I don’t know what to do. Please see journal for up to date pics…

I wrote support and Danielle said she would throw it into flush right away. But didn’t say why. I would think it’s too early seeing as no tricombs are amber. Also I just did a fresh water change. If I slap her into flush early should I do a water change immediately after?

What does the group think…

Those sounds you heard are bottles 1-2 not 3-5 nutrients. And those should still be plugged in if you took them out

Honestly up to you man. If you see a pattern of it not fattening up really and just keeps on wanting to grow as it flowers just watch the “best buds” for ripening. But you can let the plant ride out the nutrients that are in the reservoir now and then in the plant when you flush. I wouldn’t do another drain and fill if you push to flush. Just use that as your last week of nutes and then when you do your next drain and fill that will be your actual first day of flush, not what day it says on the app if you get what I’m saying

Will she continue to fatten once in flush… there is a little fattening happening now.

If she wants to, for sure but if you really aren’t seeing a lot now could just be the seed or the genetics themselves. Environment plays a huge part in it too

I pH my water manually, it was the nutes.

Well we pulled the trigger and finally harvested this cheese Auto… as stated she foxtailed a bunch leaving me with mostly very small buds and a shit ton of popcorn and sweet leaf for cooking…

Going to dry and cure the hanging/on stem stuff for smoking and will likely just dry the loose

stuff in the tray and use it to make butter and coconut oil

Congrats on reaching harvest! :green_heart:

Thanks… definitely staying away from autos from now on… really didn’t like the foxtailing. She is super sticky and smells great though… I might have got an ounce of smokable after it dries… and probably more than that of larf
