Do I have to follow the calibration setup on the app with a brand new unit, one video says they’re already calibrated.

I would as I had to calibrate one of them and mine was brand new too. Also FWIW, my ph probe needed recalibrating after only 3 months in my one grow.

Same here! Mine were new and had to calibrate them as well.

Great question! Yes, all new Gen 2 units require calibration upon setup. I personally calibrate monthly and check the cleanliness of both probes each week during my drain/fill.
