Building a scrog

So I’m building a scrog and I’m wondering on how big I should make the holes? I think 4 inches is to big because the plant has to grow pretty big just to try and bend it without fear of breaking the plant. I was reading around and quite a few saw 4 inches and a few say 3, I even saw one where a guy has one 2 inches apart and he said the same thing about plant getting big and having to bend it. So I don’t know I’m thinking 2.5 inches? 2 inches seems small and just wondered what you guys think!
