If it goes in and out really slowly its connected, green doesn’t do that.

Yes, go to your app and check under settings and then change light settings, can you tell me what its set at?

Perfect then its on target.
Just toggle the settings bar until you change it to the time you want it to be on and off and the light will cutback on.
