So my first grow was doomed before it started. Apparently there’s is am issue with my ph meter. Have a call scheduled to calibrate it with them to determine if it is defective. While draining the water noticed these white things floating in the water. Anyone know what they are or how to prevent them?

I don’t think they are alive but I also don’t know what they are.
If your pH was too far off it is probably bad bacteria byproduct. Did you have root rot?
Yeah, that looks like bio films or some sort of bacteria growing… if there were roots and nutrients it’d probably be getting darker.
Is your air stone working? Do you see bubbles when you open the lid?
