Does the air stone stop at any point of the grow cycles? Or should it be bubbling at all stages?

It should always be bubbling!

Always bubbling like platinum said, and this is a common issue, pump going out, or not plugged in properly to the circuit board. Iād suggest buying an external pump just in case. A plant will die pretty quick without sufficient oxygen
