@Todd.grobo - Thanks for the recommendation. Did as you suggested and Stephen thought things looked good from a ph/ec perspective but suggested a PH recalibration. I’ve continued to battle the curling leaf tips but it’s looking healthier now. I DO believe the PH may have been off a bit. Leaves have felt a bit dry too. I also have been keeping slightly lower temps since my humidity is also on the low side (trying to align a bit more with the VPD charts). As you can see from the pics, she is looking pretty healthy. May need to think about topping in a bit. This is day 16 of late veg (been slow growing but, I believe, looking good). Appreciate everyone’s help/feedback with this. Will continue to post progress.
Yup looks good. Your in late veg? I’d add a week or two just to give her some extra oomph
Thanks @Todd.grobo
I added a week and will probably continue to add until I reach the second fan.
I think I need a little guidance here…there are a few things I’m concerned about.

I continue to battle the curled leaves on the tips. Plant looks healthy from a color/green perspective. PH was recalibrated. Recharge and hydroguard were added last fill. Temps are in the 60’s with humidity in the 40’s. Not sure what’s going on or if I should be concerned

I think I need to do my first trim of the lower leaves. Curious about my fellow-grower’s opinions on how much I take off and whether I need to be careful trimming specific leaves/etc…? From what I’ve read on the forum, I think I’m safe to trim most of the lower leaves, especially if they’re getting very little light. Any other thoughts/advice? It’s my first pruning so, yes, I’m a little nervous
-
I believe I’m close to needing to do a top and/or FIM. It’s tough to tell (since it’s so bushy) but I think I’m at @5 nodes. Should I do the top and/or FIM as well as the pruning (#2 above)?..or, should I do a top then do the pruning later? Just don’t want to shock her too much
As always, Thanks!!

Is your bubbler going below?
Yes, bubbler is working. Including a couple pics since I’m not sure how much the water should be bubbling… Also, the roots look tinted a bit brown but it’s probably the Grobo nutrients and/or recharge…
Thx

Thanks @SilverGrobo, I appreciate all the links and I’ve checked them out. Yes, I ended up doing the PH calibration and I do believe it was off since it pushed me into the calibration process. I’ve since topped (I believe I actually FIM’d) and have removed some larger fan leaves that were blocking quite a lot of light to the lower leaves/growth. I’ve been giving some time for recovery and, so far, it looks like the top/trim may have helped. Will post some pics in a few days. Thx!!
Hi All,
It’s been quite a while since my last post. I’m on day 140 of the grow so it feels like it’s been a slow grow but, then again, it’s my first grow so I have nothing to compare it to ;-). Had a couple hiccups along the way (bad fan, loose connection for bottle4) but Grobo support took care of the issues very quickly (Thanks!!). I ended up extending late veg to a total of 56 days and now I’m into flowering (day 40 of flowering stage). Buds are relatively small (from what I can tell) but it’s probably to be expected since I wasn’t as aggressive with trimming/lollipopping as some were. I’m very happy to have gotten this far on my first grow (thanks to the help of so many great people on this forum). I decided to post some flowering pics (top of canopy) for feedback. Pistols are turning amber but I think I’m getting close to moving into flush…but not 100% positive. I’m waiting for a usb microscope (arriving Friday) so I can get some close-up pics of the trichomes. I would welcome any/all feedback on timing/etc…(am I close, weeks away from flush, etc…?). Based on what I’ve seen with other grows, I’m thinking I’m a week or two away. BTW…this strain is for relaxation/sleep and is a hybrid-Godbud/Grapefruit. Thanks!!
Very nice!!! Keep at it! It’s a beautiful journey!!!
I think your right on your timing assumption, probably a couple 1-2 weeks out from flush. You’ll have a lot better of an idea once you receive your microscope. Great job on your first grow! Sounds like you know what to do differently next time to create a higher yield.
Thanks @SWSVIC.
I appreciate the kind words and insight. I should be able to get some pics posted using the microscope, either tonight or tomorrow. I’m thinking this weekend will be the beginning of flush but we’ll see how the trichomes look. Thx
Finally have some close-up pics of the trichomes. These pics are from the very top of the canopy (random buds). From what I can tell, I may be ready for flush this weekend? Curious what others think? I didn’t get pics from the lower bud sites since I know they’ll be less ready for harvesting because of the lack of light. I’m OK going longer, allowing the lower bud sites to mature…just don’t want to let it go too far. Thanks again for any/all feedback!
Great pics. Looking clear to mildly cloudy with little to no amber. You want to survey buds from the bottom, middle, and top then using “averaging” choose when to harvest. Remind me what genetic this is and what your desired effects are?
Thanks. I’ll get some pics from the lower bud sites and post them. This is a hybrid (godbud/indica and grapefruit/sativa). Desired effects are sleep/relaxation.
Very clear down there. Sticking with my opinion that you were right on your 1-2 weeks until flush. (Estimate based on other completed grows reviewed here on AG)
Thanks! I’ll keep her growing and throw some more pics up in a week or so. Thanks for the feedback/input…it is very much appreciated!
About a week later, not seeing many amber trichomes on top bud sites. I believe there may be a very small amount on the leaves but I’m thinking that I need to see a bit on the buds since this is predominantly for sleep (…assuming I’m thinking about this correctly?). Will let it go another week and then reassess.
