I only noticed this as I finally cleaned out my unit yesterday and after a week in my solution for the airstone it was barely producing bubbles. I think it’s fairly old, and I do have extra stones in the house so easy fix. I had just finished the article and was like… hrm… lightbulb!
I soak my airstones in Zerotol HC for 24 hrs, then run it on a pump in the solution…good as new. Though zerotol is pricey, so it’s probably cheaper to buy new stones lol, but i have it on hand so might as well use it.
I use 30% hydrogen peroxide as a cheaper option… just don’t get it on your skin it will burn it
I think on this next grow, maybe i’ll set my chiller to 71-73F and see what happens.
I think the risk out ways the reward on this one… When my water chiller was running I always run around 66 to 68 for water temp… If it was my grow I would run cooler temps and add Fish shit to your water… This will protect you from Root Rot (water temp and fish shit both). Plus fish shit will aid in nute adsorption 1000x more than a higher risky water temp…
I’m running fish shit in my grobo also this grow
Just talking out loud…
Good god that “shit” is expensive!!!
As you know @Mpower11…I like experiments! Still waiting to clean everything and let the plants get some more roots before starting them in the tent. I’ve done plenty of reading that oxygen saturated water deters root rot…why not give it a shot? As @Todd.grobo has stated, he’s had much higher water temps than 73F with no issues with root rot. Maybe it’ll help prove that if you upgrade the airstone and pump in the grobo and saturate the water with oxygen, there’s no need for hydroguard for people like me that deal with higher temps in the home.
OMG Mark, if I get 30 new tickets because of people adding fish poop to their grobo! I am never sending you cannabis again HAHAHAHAHAHHA (joking) omg no one please add fish poop to your res
same here… Roll it let’s see how it works out…
Omg @Todd.grobo you made me laugh… Roger that… Please no one follow on direction on “Shit” in there Grobo… Mine you @Todd.grobo like @FireGuy says we like experiments I going to continue to test it in Grobo… Whats the worse that can happen… Nothing that I can’t deal with…
Besides that it’s called Job security Todd… Haha
True that!
Worst thing I can see depending on how much material is in it is a clogged drain pump…easy fix.
I think Mark is referring to this:
Man I wish u would of said that sooner only one plant reminds me of the grobo didn’t receive mine yet September my date if that’s what it is I agree with u an @Mpower11 but if I remember correctly I thought it was up to 4 pounds it can dry an cure
2.2 lbs wet. I have 12 oz dry in mine to cure.
Do u have space for more
There is no way anyone getting 2.2 pounds of wet in that machine…
I think 1 pound will max it out…
2 to 3 plants in a tent grow will max it out
Not much more room. Pics above. All shelves but the bottom are full.
I think if it’s super dense bud it’ll fit. my 5 1/8 oz fit on 2 shelves dry.
Yea that’s not gd I thought u could fit more in that machine witch is fine I already order it but to buy another one it’s starting to make me feel like the grobo love my grobo but I paid 2800 for my grobo an it only does one plant I did get a nice haul on my GSC but even when I way it I’m thinking 4to5 oz tops if u get my drift
