What @AandM-farms said. The piece is a root guard that ensures your roots don’t entangle the water sensors causing them to fail. Hang the ledges tight over the back right corner edges allowing the walls to extend down into your reservoir guarding the water sensors. Then put your reservoir lid back in place, it will sit right on top of it.
