Pool and Plant PH

I’ve been growing on and off for 35 years and than we never had Plant PH up or down. We used what we had for the Pool. Back then High Times mag, showed to use lava rock in Kmart Kiddie pools as well a street lights ! Now with the internet people are concerned with the Salt content in spa ph adjusters ? Epson salt was used kinda heavy to the point of having to whip things down due to salt creep ! What am I missing !

Several people claim Pool PH down should not be used due to salt content ! What is your view ?

I use lemon juice

No do not use pool ph … from what I’ve read it will react differently with the nutes
