Outlet / Plugs [RESOLVED]

Question: I have limited outlets in my home and wanted to know if plugging in a extension cord or power strip to my Grobo would be ok?
Has anyone had any issues or problems using these methods?

Since I started my last grow. So a few weeks. I was hesitant at first but figured it couldn’t hurt.

Hey @Bplatinum9,

An extension cord is fine, as long as it is rated for at least 120volts and 5 amps. Most are, these values are very low.

TLDR; extend away!

Make sure it has a surge protector on it as well unless the outlet is fitted with one. Doesn’t hurt to have more protection🤙

Our units don’t use a lot of amps, or draw a lot of high current that would flip the breaker. I’ve had 10 running at a time on a 15 amp breaker. Only when we would use a tool in the lab would it flip.

so you will be running roughly 3 amps to a 20 amp receptacle, you will be golden, you are very far off from breaker tripage!
