Ok sounds gd I’ll try that tonight
Hey @Choppo0816, I know i’m late to this party, and also haven’t grown in soil, but I noticed one thing from your first pic. The top of that soil is green and roots look exposed like a tree. I’ve dealt with aquariums for 2 decades…you have an algae or moss problem if I had to guess. I don’t think i’ve seen other soil grows with that green film on top of the soil even this late in flower.
Never to late to school some one with ur knowledge bro appreciate that when it comes to soil what are the factors that cause algae in the soil
I’m in no way trying to school , just something I noticed that didn’t look right, especially as I’ve never grown in soil. Found this web article on algae in soil that could explain much better than I could lol.
You want my honest opinion… I would flush and call it a day
Not moving along super fast. I would agree with Mark.
That’s what I was looking for just wanted to know if that was a possibility thanks guys @Todd.grobo alwayas appreciate use
Ok my gd brothas @Todd.grobo im taking the haze down today an cleaning up my tent an disinfect everything so I’ll be putting my seeds in a shot glass tonight getting ready for this new adventure
Sweet, you’re not far behind me, 3 days left of drying, maybe 4, and then the same thing, clean and restart my next 2. Grobos are already going.
Love the cycle brotha
Well I got my tent Cleaned out I put one big bud one master kush crossed with skunk an 2 og kush all in a shot glass my question is it easier to start them off in small containers an keep transplanting till I get to a 5 gallon pot or can I just make the 5 gallon pots an just plant the there @Todd.grobo
You can do both. It’s easier to grow the plant if you increase pot size a little at a time.
If less work for you to start in a big final pot just means you need to pay a lot more attention on how you water
I would recommend you increase your pot size a little at a time
Ok That will be the route that I take then so the small lil pots that I have there like the size of them red party cup plastic ones so how would I start the ratio for that
I start in a solo cup.
Have you decided what your final pot size will be? Then I can reply what I would do
My final pot size will be a 5 gallon pot I also have a lil update on my draining system for use guys here it is
Drainage system looks real nice
Are you pumping the water out of the tent or gravity flow out of the tent?
I just want to say you can get many different answers to your question but this is what I would do
Option 1
For transplanting
Solo cup to start. Drill drainage holes in the bottom
Then 1 gallon
Then 3 gallon
Then 5 gallon
Or option 2 less work just need to control you watering.
Solo cup
Then 1 gallon
Then 5 gallon
Just a FYI the bigger the final pot the better is my option. For me 5 gallon is minimum requirement.
Must be your your final pot before entering Flower.
Thanks I appreciate that I’m gonna go with option 1 though 1,3,5 an y do u say u have to be careful with watering for this style of grow rather find out now rather than later
Maybe I will reword you always need to watch how your watering in any media.
But by going from solo to 1 g to 3 g to 5 g it makes it a lot harder to over water
Ok I understand that so how many times a week would I water an how much do I mix the bloom an Gaia soil I have an stuff
