I bought in during start up so it’s the only reason I let my cosmetic issue slide and I understand your position. I’d give them a chance to make it right and don’t quote me on it but I think they have like a 30 or 45 day sattisfaction guarantee?

Definitely, eveybody deserves the chance to make it right .
Another side note , I found some of the noise was coming from the small lower back panel by the power cord .
It quieted some once I removed the panel , not the best solution to keep if off … maybe a piece of 3m tape foam might help .

It was probably screwed on wrong. Maybe too tight as @Azuri suggested? Glad it’s a bit better though.

Well it’s not better … for the noise to go away I have to leave the back panel off and hold the side and then it goes away . It’s the vibrations from the pump shaking the side panels of the cabinet, tried to tighten some outside screws but nothing fixed it .
Ya even more issues for me now …it notified me of the “drain and fill “
So I grabbed a bucket starting to do the drain and now the software won’t reconize that it is done draining and the pump keeps going even though there is no water left , and I kept waiting and waiting listening to this pump trying to just pump up air and the system still won’t reconize that it’s empty and will not let me fill it …it keeps saying system not done draining yet .
I am going to manual fill it because I have no choice but is the system going to reconize this and continue back on its grow cycle ?

Hey @Rob, I try unplugging the unit, leave for 20 sec or so then plug it back in. It should allow you to do a drain/fill. If problem persist, I’d put in a ticket to support@grobo.io

Rob I had the same issue when I first got my grobo
Ultimately I had to move the wiring around on the pump so it hit the corner better. What I mean by that is that the pump knew their was more water to take out but it couldn’t get it. Literally it would try forever until I moved the hose and then like 2 secs more suck and it finished and lights changed and it was ready for filling. Check to ensure it’s not trying to suck up water but not fully into the water. Hopefully that helps too

I’m on day 5 with a new grobo, and I’m having a similar issue with the sound of the air pump as described in several previous posts. I have opened the back panel to check for anything loose, and move the tubing and stuff around to see if that would reduce the noise, but it made no difference. I was expecting some noise, but it seems excessive. I’m curious if there are any other tips for dampening the sound.
My other first thought - which I suppose may count as my second thought - is how the unit is ventilated. I’ve seen quite a few posts regarding light and air leakage around the door seal, and have observed light leakage around the door in my own unit (fans not running yet). Is there a reason the fans are positioned so as to be bringing air in and positively pressurizing the cabinet as opposed to exhausting air and creating a negatively pressured cabinet space? That way, any migration of air around the door seal would be inward, and if the carbon filter was positioned right at the fans, any air exiting the unit would have to pass through it. As it is, with a positive cabinet, the air is going to find its way out via any path it can find, much of which will bypass the filter if not perfectly sealed.

I personally have not had any issues with light escaping. Maybe you can adjust the screws or something. When the fans are running it’s only enough air that’s beneficial to the plants it does create enough to notice. My carbon filter for the most part works great. Theres a slight hi t of marajuna in the air but i have sensitive nose. My husband says he smells nothing.
Maybe you can start a support ticket they can walk you through some adjustments.

If you had negative air flow then it would be harder for the grobo to introduce new fresh air into the plant area due to the areas where there is leakage aren’t big enough or allow enough air to come inside for that option… so they reversed and use the fans to add air into the grobo and let the old air pass through the carbo filter whenever it does… also I’m not sure if this is true but sometimes it seems as if one of my fans is taking air out and the other bringing air in …
Just my two cents could be compelmty wrong though

Yes, if the fans were exhausting, there would need to be intake perforations. Or the airflow direction from the opening where the filter currently sits would be reversed to be an intake rather than relief.
This is all just speculation on my part. I am not far enough into my grow to say if odour may be an issue or not

Yea it was just my guess I’m no hvac specialist lol… but I’ve finished two grows and haven’t faced a smell issue that’s bad… then again maybe my strain just isn’t that stinky
