Everything Flora Flex

So I’m bummed because flora flex lines keep giving me feeding issues, sometimes the lines work and sometimes something as simpIe as the lines moving an inch can stop the flow.
My pump line wasnt elevated enough and I lost two days of feed. Most of my leaves turned yellow and died.
Surprised my tent grow still lives with all the ph and line issues its suffered.
I’m not giving up! But I have been thinking about cutting down from two plants a grow to one so I dont lose two crops at once.
Truth be told its always one plant that does better than the other anyway.
I so wish @Mpower11 lived near enough to give my tent a major makeover!

I hear :ear: that my first grow ever I did 3 at the same time an is was extremely difficult to maintain in the beginning but as time goes on it get easier and easier :+1:t2::seedling:

I think I just need a bigger tent to be able to defoliate properly & work!
I’m in a 2 x 4 gorilla they have no side entrance to reach the back of the plants for people with short arms unfortunately!

:joy::joy::sunglasses: yea ur correct one :point_up:t4: of the most important things about growing is the space lack of space can turn something special in to something average

I’m sorry to hear you are continuously having this issues.

If I could cross the border maybe would be possible… :frowning:

Are you opposed to switching your lighting cycle to during the day hours so you can moderate more closely.

Or possibly Mark your new tank level and daily you can see if the level is dropping?

My lights are on during daytime hours!
I have been paying close attention to water levels in my reservoir/ bucket too, I made sure to get a clear bucket with the measurements on the side.
My biggest problem may be location (basement) my second may be tent size (hard to defoliate) my third the flora flex lines (setup).
P.s I didnt know we had a border between us! :joy:

I’m close to Detroit Mic

I no longer use the flow disks? Are you using the flow disks… I just don’t understand why it stops flowing

I usually use the flow disk.
I changed my water last night and took the flow disk out using the (black feeder), and the whole reservoir emptied by morning!
Its gonna take some figuring to come up with a better solution. I’m determined to get it right though.
I grew up in Detroit and loved looking over into Canada!

I miss crossing the border… Before Covid I would go to Michigan all the time… When the border opens I’m getting myself some SLF-100…lol

Do you think it would help if you took detailed pictures of your setup from your Res to Drip line… Maybe I can see something off…

This grow I removed all my flow disks and I bought inline ball valves to control feed per plant… I posted pictures of them here months ago… They work really good… Also I’m adding a mod to my drip line next grow… To help allow the driper to water more even on the Coco

I’m gonna post so we can find out if there is something you can help me change easily.
I’ll try to post tomorrow, I’m dry trimming all night after 1/2 cleaning the grobo.
So is SLF-100 illegal over there or something?

The dreaded trim day!! I hear you

Our version of the FDA hasn’t approved it or the manufacture doesn’t want to spend the money to get it approved in Canada

Sucks! I could have sent you some! :eyes::seedling:

Today I noticed she hadn’t been fed again.
I’m wondering if I get a heavier pump would it help.
When I take the plug out the timer and plug it into an outlet to make sure its operating, it takes so long for the water to start that imnot sure if that’s the problem or if its me moving the lines up and down to get it to flow.
If its slow than by the time it starts the timer probably cuts it off.
If its the position of the lines I’m not sure what can be done if I’m constantly moving the lines to clean the bucket or fcheck the flow.

I had to take the scrogg off to defoiliate, so many yellow leaves it took two hours.
I may not be able to scrogg in my space if I want to defoiliate, either or!

@Bplatinum9, would elevating your reservoir and adding more water into the bucket help?

Yes that would help but I have a idea to try first if you haven’t

Looking at your setup compared to mine.

  1. I’m pumping at least double the distance
  2. I installed a check valve after my pump (reduces flow by nature of it)
  3. I have 4 90 degree eblow’s in my system (reduces flow by nature of it)
  4. I have 4 drip lines running (reduces flow by nature of it)

Based on this information that pump should work fine…

I have a few different ideas on mind to try but let’s start here

I’m thinking maybe you have a bad pump since you have 2 of the same pumps have you turned swapping them? The recir because your feed pump… Feed pump change to recir

This is a test that cost you no $$$ to try…

Let me know I have a couple other idea’s also… The only time I have a problem with the pump not pumping is right after I make new nutes… (pump cavitating until it gets prime then it’s all good)

What stage are the girls in?? Looks like stretch has started but I can’t see buds from the pictures

I’m in flower stage but it doesn’t seem to be too noticeable, started on the 30th nov.
Ok let’s start there! I dont think my legs will let me do another flight of stairs today, so tomorrow I’m gonna trade the pump I just bought to rid a bucket of dehumidifier water.
Its a stronger pump too. After I switch I’ll let you know if I can see a difference sowe can check this tip off the list! :eyes::handshake::seedling::100:
P.s. I tend to feed when I do a drain and fill because I know they haven’t gotten much water. I figure that is prime enough, what do you think?

Thanks Vic, I have tried both of those and raising the reservoir makes it worse, and it works the same with a full bucket. :eyes::seedling:

Your on track then it was about 10 days before I seen anything

Understand I think it’s a good place to start

What is your complete light and water schedule… I trying to get a whole picture of what your doing to see if I find a missing link somewhere

From all my testing I have done you must keep the height of your water in res below the height of your bubblier… Actually the next thing we may try is to put a pin hole in your feed line at the top of your res about here just make sure when the pump runs the nutes flow back into the res out the pin hole…

Ps small pin hole nothing big you just want to break air lock.

But like I said I would switch pumps first. We will figure this out
