Could I potentially use a small bottle and use the refill pack and cap to essentially do the same thing on a smaller scale?

A work around is since the plant is short I used 3 magnetic hooks to hang the bottle up high instead to let the c02 come down on to the plants. I wouldnt have the bottle sitting down low anymore unless I have a much taller plant.

Yep, you could even do it with an even mixture of sugar and yeast with warm water. That’s what is inside your refill pack I believe
